I’ve found that doing a really good wardrobe organise a la A Pair and A Spare’s advice, and using tumblr for inspiration has really helped me understand my aesthetic. I’ve come to the conclusion that I actually really like classic styles and shapes. Cropped slim denim, chambray, polka dots and stripes, and colours like navy, white, grey and black build up the foundation of my wardrobe. But I love them all the more when they have little twists to them. A little studding, some neon flashes or a statement necklace. Its the details that make it fun, and make it me.
So this is my kind of perfect simple outfit. First, skinny black denim and a chambray shirt. Add in some gold studding down the legs, some layered necklaces and a neon clutch, and I am one happy bunny! Do you tend to lean towards a particular style? Or do you dip your toe into lots depending on your mood?
I actually won these jeans, which are part of the Peace + Love collection from Missguided, in one of their fun facebook competitions! If you haven’t already heard of them, they are well worth a like and a browse if you are looking for some fun fashion. I can tell these will be a staple for me. They are slimming and so perfect for dressing up and down, so thank you Missguided!
