So on Wednesday afternoon I caught a train up to London so I could attend an event by Most Wanted and Voucher Codes UK. They put on an incredible evening of clothes swapping, accompanied by cocktails, sweeties, manicures, customisation demonstrations and a brilliant photobooth. We all took along up to 5 items along to swap, were given stamps in return and then were able to browse rails full of beautiful things to decide which we wanted to take home. And any leftover clothes at the end of the night are donated to charity. Its such a good way to have a little wardrobe refresh and recycle some clothes, and all for free- what’s not to like!

It was such fun to see all of the different bloggers and their goodies. I was especially happy to finally meet the lovely Rosie from A Rosie Outlook and to see Hannah from Baileycakes again! Its so good to make online connections into real life meetings 🙂 As an added bonus I was able to take along a guest so had the chance to catch up with one of my best friends, Sharon, who I haven’t seen in far, far too long. And give us all a photobooth and stupid things were bound to happen 🙂

As for the swapping? I found a perfect black cotton jumpsuit that I have now worn pretty much continuously, a gorgeous metallic drapey tee and a couple of crop tops- can you tell I’m begging for summer to arrive!? I also had a complete fangirl moment with a couple of my favourite bloggers choosing some of my swap clothes for themselves- Natasha from Girl in the Lens picked a vintage suede miniskirt and Rosie took a pair of black and white dotted trousers. Does them liking my things mean I have good style!? It made me feel a little bit cool I have to admit! I can’t wait to see how they might style them up, and you know I will have another fangirl moment all over again if I spot them on their blogs!
After all that we were then sent away with a lovely goody bag, filled with pieces from Paul’s Boutique, Dorothy Perkins, Boden and Miss Selfridge just to name a few. It was such a lovely way to spend the evening, so a huge thank you to Voucher Codes UK and specifically to Fleur and her team for putting it all on and for having me come along. Have you been to a clothes swap before? Would you fancy organising one amongst your friends?
P.S. If you fancy finding a fashion bargain, I’ve got some things up on Ebay at the moment! Go take a look!
