I always think that summer evening have a magical feel. I don’t think there is any better simple pleasure than being able to sit outside and watch the sun set, talking with friends and loved ones. Its still a little chilly for much time outdoors when the sun has gone in but the long evenings are just gorgeous at the moment. The other night, the young man and I headed down to the beach to watch the sun set. I’ve been coming to this beach since I was born and I couldn’t even begin to calculate how many hours have been spent here! Its still an absolute favourite place for me, and I never cease to be struck by just how beautiful and peaceful it is. When the tide is out and the sun has dipped low, the whole place empties out and you can just take it all in. I feel so lucky to have this just five minutes away from our home. I can’t wait to be able to spend some time there over the next few months, having some BBQs and dipping my toes into the sea. If it warms up a bit more, maybe I’ll even manage a proper swim! Maybe… Have you been enjoying this little burst of summer? Have you been making use of the long evenings?
