I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- I find one of the best things about the weather warming up is being able to wear simple layers instead of bundling up. I’m sick of coats and jumpers (who isn’t, I know). Wearing this kind of outfit makes me much happier than it should. So simple! So few layers! Anyway… Some sort of loose oversized shirt worn with cropped trousers has always been a favourite outfit choice of mine (seriously, just peer through the archives!). I always feel very comfortable in them, very like ‘me’. Adding the straw hat and bag made me feel somewhat like a 1970s art teacher but I’m O.K. with that. Plus art teacher chic is pretty appropriate considering the location at Charleston Farmhouse– I was channeling the mood of the place, clearly.
