Ibiza fishing huts

Goodness me the weeks have slid away into a whirlwind of to do lists. Life has been hectic (as you may have noticed from the quiet over here) and a break has been well needed. Sunshine, good food and good company is the best medicine. We found a small villa in the quieter, pine filled hills of Ibiza, with terraces and a private pool and spent as much time as possible just soaking it all up. Sunsets over the sea, seeing the lights of San Antoni lit up across the bay, the smell of pine in the hot sun, running across sun baked terracotta tiles, salty skin from swimming in crystal blue sea. Why is it that those little sensations are so exquisite? It was pretty much a Mediterranean dream.
We found the villa via Airbnb, my first time using it.We spent most of our time there, relaxing as much as possible, but did manage a few short trips across the island. Cala Salada for swimming, Santa Eulària des Riu for gelato and people watching, San Rafel for ceramics, and Ibiza Old Town for winding white streets and views across the sea. This island packs alot of beauty into a small space! We didn’t need go to one single beach bar or club 🙂 The rocky coastline has captured my heart a little though, and I already want to plan my next trip to explore the Balearics. Until then, I’m going to click back hrough my instagram photos and try to imagine the sun on my skin again
