Over the Summer, Harry and I got into the habit of heading out for walks along the canal and adventuring out into the countryside for some hikes whenever we can. It is amazing how much a good old walk can boost my mood and it has become a really important part of our weekends. Every chance we get, we’re going out for a wander.
Regatta got in touch to tell me about their Urban Hike campaign and now I’ve swapped the countryside for the city. Basically the idea is that you don’t need to head to the hills to get waking and enjoying the space around you. They’ve put together a 5km walk around Manchester, with all of the sights and history to take in along the way.
I totally love this idea; it takes up our evening walks a fair notch and walking around Manchester has made me fall a little bit in love with my city again. If you want to go on your own Urban Hike, there is both a Manchester and a London map you can download for free straight away.
